Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
